D-Day 75 Overlord 2019 Free entry for vehicles and re-enactors, covering living history, vehicles, and militaria stalls. The battle re-enactment is the D-Day landing with a Valentine Duplex amphibious tank. Site facilities include bar, entertainment, catering, camping, toilets and free hot showers.
The sponsored charity is Hounds for Heroes. Visitors are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing in period costumes, the event will be open from 9am to 5 pm Sat to Mon.
Drive To Remember A one off and unique event. On the 5th June 1944, General Eisenhower drove from his Headquarters at Southwick to Greenham Common Airfield, Newbury, to speak to US airborne troops prior to Operation Overlord.
On the 22 June 2019 during the 75th Anniversary Year of D-Day there are plans to drive the route taken by Eisenhower to commemorate this historic occasion.
